Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu (previously known as Lawrence Addae[1] and born on February 3, 1957)[2][3] is a Ghanaian urban planner and politician.
He was the majority leader in the Ghanaian Parliament until he stepped down on 21 February 2024[4] and is the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs in Ghana.[5][6] He is the longest serving lawmaker in Ghana.[7]
Early life and education
Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu was born on Sunday, February 3, 1957.
He hails from Bremang-Afrancho, a town in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.[8] In 1982, he graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning.[9] He is a Development Planner/Architect/Quantity Surveyor.[10]
