CEBU CITY(April 24, ) – Mayor Mike Rama has conveyed his condolences to the family of Councilor Raul “Yayoy” D. Alcoseba, who passed away yesterday at He refreshed his fond memories with him.
“I am saddened by the sudden passing of a family friend and fellow public servant, Yayoy Alcoseba,” he said in a Facebook post earlier today.

He described Alcoseba as “an icon in the realm of basketball where he served as one of the winningest coaches in Cebu.”
The Mayor would recall when he was young that he had a team with his cousins called the Rama Boys and had Yayoy as coach and their court general.
“When I was younger, I used to play basketball with him during my free time.
I also remember waiting for the snacks that he would also bring us during the basketball games of my older cousins, since his family owned a bakery, he said.
He said their team jersey had Rama Boys in f
